What information we handle
When you use Treasure Inspiration you may enter a display name, year group and choose focus subjects during onboarding. This information is saved only in your browser using local storage on the device you are using. It is not transmitted to us, and we have no server that receives or stores it.
What we do not do
- We do not create accounts, and we do not ask for an email address, phone number or address.
- We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or fingerprinting.
- We do not sell, rent or share any information with third parties, because we do not collect any.
- We do not build profiles about you or your child.
Cookies and similar technologies
The app uses your browser's local storage to remember your progress, preferences and Treasure points. This is not the same as a tracking cookie. Nothing is sent to a server. You can clear this at any time using your browser settings or the "Reset all progress" option in Settings.
Children's privacy
The app is intended for UK secondary school students. Because we do not collect any personal data, parents and guardians do not need to take any additional steps to protect their child's information within the app. We recommend adult supervision for younger learners as with any online service.
Third party services
The app loads web fonts from Google Fonts and a dyslexia friendly font stylesheet from a public CDN, so that text renders correctly. These providers may receive standard technical information such as your IP address as part of the normal operation of the web, which they handle under their own policies. We do not send them any personal information from you.
Read Aloud and speech
The Read Aloud feature uses your device's built in speech synthesis. Audio is generated locally by your browser or operating system. No question text or voice data is sent to us.
Changes to this notice
If we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Because we do not have your contact details, we cannot email you about changes. Please check this page from time to time.
