What you'll learn
Each question helps you build key knowledge and skills.
- 1Selection can be extended with ELSE IF or nested IF statements to handle more than two possible outcomes, allowing a program to respond to several different conditions.
- 2Iteration includes count controlled loops, such as FOR loops that run a known number of times, and condition controlled loops, such as WHILE loops that run until a condition becomes false.
- 3Arithmetic operators include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, while comparison operators such as greater than and equal to are used inside conditions for selection and iteration.
- 4Arrays store multiple values that can be accessed using an index number, and looping through an array with a FOR loop is a common way to process every element.
- 5Functions can accept parameters as inputs and return a value as output, which makes them useful for performing a calculation and reusing it in different parts of a program.
